Derek Lam is an American fashion designer of Women's Ready-to-Wear and Accessories. He created a Spirited American fashion that looks forward with playful style and unexpected details. Lam began working as an assistant for Michael Kors in the 1990s and launched his own label in 2003. After won the CFDA Perry Ellis Swarovski Award for new designers, he started his own line of clothes. In addition to clothes, Derek Lam also has a line of shoes and jewelry.
