We were blown away by our first impressions of 24-year old Liverpudlian singer Jetta when she emerged last year with debut track "Start A Riot." First impressions don’t lie; new track "Crescendo" is proof of that.
The first cut from her forthcoming EP of the same name, "Crescendo" finds Jetta playing with a much lighter pop texture as Pharrell brings his trademark touches - those bouncing rhythms and funky basslines are unmistakable - to the mix. Her soulful, soft, ever so slightly smoky vocals still take pride of place - looping that irresistible summer hook back and forth over swinging guitars. The fact that it is still very much early days for the young singer makes the prospect of what’s yet to come even more tantalising. Consider our eyes well and truly fixed.
