Sonja grew up in the family of avant-garde artist and art historian. She is interested in art and culture, trying to transfer this interest into her design. In 2015 made internship at avant-garde knitwear designer Daniel Andresen in Antwerp. Graduated from Esmod Berlin in 2016, her first collection is inspired by Russian constructivism and perestroika epoch (80s).
This collection is inspired by Russian constructivism and Perestroika art. These two epochs are especially interesting because they both manifest cultural change. "I was born in Moscow, the city, where both cultural trends had their highest manifestations.In my collection I make an experiment of trying to create something new on the basis of synthesis of two styles – constructivism and perestroika art.
